AFAIK, the deciding factor in whether an audio gets removed or not is whether YT content ID could catch a split second of copyrighted material. Not literally, just that copyrighted material is not in the song, so we can't get sued. Videogame remixes I'm sure get the slip because you don't get a lot of suing in that regard. Vaporwave is a genre that point blank is based on slowing down and spacing out older tracks that labels own. It's unfortunate but something we have to live with.
